Here is a how to find a person in Ukraine interview I had with Alex from the Detective Agency "Personal Security Solutions".

1. How do I find someone in Ukraine?
How can we best start a Ukraine people search?

If you want to find someone in Ukraine yourself you must know the language. Or have a person with you that speak Ukrainian. If you don't know the language and don't know anyone who can help you, the best way to find someone in Ukraine is to order services of a detective agency. Basic background check costs $60.

There are no white pages of Ukraine online. There are some sites with information about the phone numbers of some cities, but the information there is in Ukrainian language.

3. What is the number we can call if we want to find people in Ukraine through phone numbers?

If you speak Russian or Ukrainian you can call the phone number help service.

The numbers of help services are different in every region.

4. Do you have a recommendation on a Ukraine people search, Ukrainian people find programs or databases?

You can try to find the people in the social networks. You must be registered there to do so.

If you want to find someone in Ukraine and you know the language you can try: www.odniklassniki.ru or www.vkontakte.ru

These are the most popular social networks in our country and they can of course be of help.

There you at least might find a family member of the lost cousin, sister, brother, parent or friend.

5. What about when you are searching for missing people?
What can we do then?

If you are the nearest relative of the missing person you can apply to MIA of Ukraine.

6. Where/how can we find civil records or court records?

You can get this information only through a detective agency.

Editors note: There are some websites online that also offer civil and criminal records, but only for the US.
