How To Find People In USA So, you can start by simply putting your friends name into the Google search box, with quotation marks around the name. Yes, it could be that easy! I know, sometimes you don't find any clues at all by typing in the name of a person into a search box at Google - or at a USA people search engine (like US Search or 411.com) If you don't find any relevant info on the person when using a people search engine or people locator, it could be because there are so many with the same name or maybe the people locator just does not have any records on this person. Maybe this person is not active on the internet at all? Sometimes people finders just don't have updated information on some people, it happens a lot. Having a hard time locating someone can also mean you just don't have the correct name of the person! Marriage Records Lets say you are looking for a woman who has remarried. She will have a new name. So you will need to find her marriage record to find out what her new name is. You can get marriage and divorce records by contacting your state government. In most states marriage, divorce and birth records are public records, meaning you can gain access to them. Though you may have to pay a small fee.

Tip: One good way to find a person who has moved is to send a registered piece of mail to that person at the old address. Request forwarding with address correction!
